Geshe Tenzin Jampa was born in 1925, Kham Muli of Tibet. He is now 81 years old. At the age of nine he became a monk at Muli Monastery, where he did the basic studies. For the advanced study, he left for Lhasa. It took him three months by foot. In Lhasa, he joined Seramey Monastery, and studied Buddhism. He received many teachings and empowerment from HH the Dalai Lama, Dagri Dorjechang, Trijang Rinpoche, Ling Rinpoche, and Song Rinpoche. As a result of his study, he became a Geshe. In 1959, he fled to India with thousands of fellow Tibetan when China invaded Tibet. They re-built Sera Monastery in South India. There he served the monastery, and gave teachings to the students. Meanwhile, he has done various retreats for many years. He is the one of the most senior monk in Seramey Monastery. And he has never seen his birthplace for 50 years. He is the spiritual and blessing in every aspect.

He takes care of the house, which has seven students— most of them are from Tibet. It is his responsibility to look after them like a father. During the rainy season, the rain drops from the tile-roof. Since the room is old, its floor becomes moisture. There is a small toilet, which has no water flash. Also, they don't have a proper bathroom since 1970. Recently he got his eye operated. Since he has no sponsorship, it is hard for him to meet his and his student 's expenses. In addition, his house is badly in need of repair. Therefore, if you want to help and sponsor him, please contact for his contact address and further information.
